Bio:

Carlos Aguilar is a sound artist and composer for immersive media from Costa Rica. Since 2020, he has been the Steinberg Nuendo Brand Ambassador for Latin America. He began his training as a classical guitarist and musician at the University of Costa Rica, which he continued independently and through multiple specializations, including Berklee Online Music School. He has over 20 years of experience in post-production; he worked as a musician and sound artist at Producciones 921 for ten years under the supervision of Hit Productions. He later founded La Cabina S.A. and A Tropics Company, through which he currently splits his work as a sound supervisor, composer, and mix engineer for video games, installations, and films in immersive, surround, and Dolby Atmos formats. Some of his film projects include La Boda del Tigre and Presos by Esteban Ramírez, the television series Sons Of Thunder by Pure Flix, Cascos Indomables by Neto Villalobos, Stay Here Awhile by Carlo Nasisse, First Lady Of The Revolution by Andrea Kalin, and Gigi by Erika Bagnarello, where he traveled to Skywalker Sound studios to participate in the mix alongside Malcolm Fife. He has composed music for video games such as Atari’s NeoSprint, tracks for TMNT: Wrath of the Mutants, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, and his most recent project as a composer is the video game Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 by GameMill Entertainment, the latter being nominated at the VGAs in the Fighting Games category.
